I love your melodies dude! The middle section with all the super calm high voices with the build back into the second drop is awesome! Cool stuff with the panning and the phasers too :D I think you should add some more layers to your synthesizers to give them more depth and wideness. At the end, you should increase the volume of the piano too. It's a bit quiet. Nice tune!

Thank you very much! :p

"I know it's pretty bad..." Hey dude - any progress is good progress! Doesn't matter if it's good, bad, whatever. If you sat down at your computer and worked hard enough to create an entire track from scratch, you're doing laps around the people who aren't doing anything. It's that drive to create that you need to hold on to and foster. Always question everything and be curious - it's the best way to improve.

Composition:
One thing that really helps me when I'm writing is to constantly try and add on to something I've already created. Take your nice electric piano chords. Maybe switch up the rhythm and try doing eighth notes instead of quarter notes or having it so that the chords are arpeggiated as opposed to always playing at the same time. Even just one change can be used and brought back in multiple sections of the song to introduce more variety. Explore with this and find ways to change the elements in your track (make sure to preserve the original idea though!).

Mixing:
The mixing of your elements sounds pretty good until you hit the "drop" section of your tune. It seems to me that the sounds are all mixing together and clashes (the low end in particular). Something you might consider is using EQ to give all of your sounds their own space. You can also use EQ to cut off all of the super low frequencies (anywhere below 40hz. The human ear can't perceive sounds that low but they will still take up space in your mix.). There are a lot of great videos on youtube on how to apply this EQ - do some searching on your own and learn what works for you.

Thank you for the support on my track by the way :D I hope to hear more stuff from you! Keep writing.

Hey there! I'm an aspiring producer/composer looking to share my music with the world. I figured Newgrounds would be a good place to set up camp, so here I am. Thanks for listening! Feel free to download anything you like.
